YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County’s Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking Crisis Services program was honored by Leadership Cumberland for its steadfast commitment to supporting survivors and combating human trafficking in our community. YWCA staff were recognized alongside the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office during Leadership Cumberland’s annual Leaders at Lunch event held at the Carlisle Barracks.

YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County has partnered closely with the District Attorney’s Office and local law enforcement through our Cumberland County Human Trafficking Coalition to ensure that every victim encountered through investigations receives compassionate, trauma-informed services. This collaboration has been essential in helping survivors break free from coercion, connect with resources, and begin their healing journey.

Human trafficking continues to be a complex and often hidden crime—one that thrives in silence. YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County remains committed to elevating awareness, educating the community, and providing 24/7 crisis support to anyone impacted by sexual assault or trafficking. Through counseling, advocacy, emergency response, and long-term support, YWCA’s Crisis Services team plays a crucial role in the countywide strategy to identify trafficking, protect victims, and promote justice.

YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County is honored to be recognized for this vital work and remains dedicated to empowering survivors, strengthening community partnerships, and advancing safety and justice throughout Cumberland County.
