Carlisle, PA — October 10, 2025 — As part of the United Way of Carlisle and Cumberland County’s annual Day of Caring, volunteers from across the region rolled up their sleeves to support local nonprofits — including YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County.

This year, volunteers from the Carlisle Area Democratic Committee partnered with YWCA staff to create a brand-new space for the organization’s Pad Pantry, which provides free menstrual products to anyone in need. The newly designed walk-in pantry expands access beyond YWCA’s existing supply located in the main lobby, offering a more private and welcoming area for community members.

The Day of Caring is an annual initiative organized by United Way that connects local employers and nonprofits to complete meaningful service projects that benefit the community. Volunteers dedicate their time and energy to improving facilities, supporting programs, and strengthening partnerships across Cumberland County.

YWCA Carlisle & Cumberland County extends heartfelt thanks to United Way and the Carlisle Area Democratic Committee for helping make this project possible and for their continued investment in community well-being.
