Children who attend a half day morning kindergarten program may register for Afternoon Explorers
A $55 non-refundable registration fee is due at time of registration. This holds your child’s spot in the selected session(s) and includes their supply fee as well as a YWCA family membership.

Afternoon Explorers Online Registration Ages 3-6

Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays 1:00-3:00 – (85 sessions): $130 per month

All Monday Sessions 1:00-3:00 (26 sessions): $40 per month

All Wednesday Sessions 1:00-3:00 (32 sessions): $49 per month

All Friday Sessions 1:00-3:00 (27 sessions): $41.50 per month

Prices for all classes above are for balanced budget payments. Balanced budget payments are calculated based on the cost of the total sessions enrolled for the entire school year, split into 9 equal payments. If you would like to instead follow a flexible payment plan (pay based on the exact number afternoon sessions for each month), please contact the preschool director. Tuition is due for all scheduled school days, even if a child is absent on a scheduled day or if a closure occurs due to weather or other necessitating event. There are no session and no charges for all Little Wonders scheduled days off as indicated on the Little Wonders calendar. Little Wonders Afternoon Explorers sessions follow the Carlisle Area School District calendar from the Monday after Labor Day until the third Friday of May. There are also no Afternoon Explorers sessions the week of our annual student art show (week of March 23, 2026).

We offer scholarships to qualifying families based on financial needs, including low income and financial hardships. To apply for a preschool scholarship, families are required to submit a complete application by the due date in July. Partial scholarships (up to 50% off tuition) are awarded based on level of need and total funds available. Scholarship decisions are communicated to all applying families in early August.

RELEASE INFORMATION

I understand that, in the event of an emergency involving my child, it may be necessary for a staff person or other representative of YWCA Carlisle to administer basic first aid to my child and/or transport my child to a hospital, physician's office or other health care facility. I hereby consent to the treatment and/or transportation of my child under such circumstances, and release YWCA Carlisle, its employees, director and agents from any claim arising out of or related to such treatment or transportation, except in the case of gross negligence. I will bear all expenses incurred in transportation and medical treatment.(Required)

5. REQUIRED - I hereby agree to abide by the YWCA Little Wonder’s Preschool fee policies, including paying a late pick up fee of $1.00 per minute after 5 minutes late, paying my tuition by the 15th of the month prior to service, paying a $15 late fee if monthly payment is not received by the 25th the month prior to service, and that my child cannot attend classes for any unpaid dates until payment has been made. I understand that my child’s spot in the preschool is only guaranteed for one week of non-payment unless a written payment agreement is reached with the preschool director and signed by both the preschool director and a parent or guardian of my child.
