Using class interaction, developmentally appropriate stories, and activities, students also learn important skills that they can use to assert their boundaries, and they discuss identifying safe adults that they can go to for help. There is an initial and follow-up presentation, each of which is about 30 minutes.
This program is designed to help 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students learn what constitutes bullying, and skills and actions to safety intervene during a bullying situation. This is done through class discussions, working together as a group, and identifying personal strengths. Students also discuss the many types of individual differences among peers and how to celebrate them. There is an initial and a follow-up presentation, each of which is about 60 minutes.
