The YWCA's Sexual Assault/Rape Crisis program offers a 24-hour Hotline for victims of rape and sexual assault, accompaniment to legal and medical proceedings, individual counseling for victims and their significant others, support groups, advocacy, and prevention/education programs to professional and civic groups, and students in Cumberland County schools. Sexual Assault/Rape Crisis Services of Cumberland County is funded by the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape, United Way of the Capital Region, United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County, United Way of the Shippensburg Area, The Mechanicsburg Area Foundation of The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, and the Big Spring Community Chest.
Sexual Assault/Rape Crisis Services of Cumberland County staff can be reached at 258.4324 during office hours at YWCA Carlisle, Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Volunteers counselors staff a 24 hour toll-free Hotline (888.727.2877). Clients can also receive services at the Victim Services office in Camp Hill. All Sexual Assault/Rape Crisis Services are free and confidential.
