Youth Leadership Conference
Empowering our youth through conversations about racial equality
About this program
What is the Youth Leadership Conference
Each October during YWCA’s Week Without Violence, YWCA Carlisle holds the Annual Youth Leadership Conference for high school students from area high schools. This event presents a unique opportunity to integrate a diverse group of students in a common goal: promoting justice within their school communities. Throughout the day, students learn more about racism, explore personal bias, and develop ways they can individually, and as a school, promote tolerance, acceptance, and exhibit daily positive behaviors that empower all and suppress none.
Who it is for
Open to 9th through 12th grade students in surrounding school districts. There is no fee for students to attend this valuable all-day workshop.
