About this program
The Chronicles of Girlhood Overview:
YWCA Carlisle’s The Chronicles of Girlhood is an initiative designed to connect girls in 8th through 12th grades with essays and stories about empowered women. Over the course of the fall, we will be reading and discussing You Do You! by Jen Mann.
The program is offered to middle and high school aged girls in 8th through 12th grades attending within Cumberland County, and is provided at no cost for families.
Date + Time:
The Chronicles of Girlhood meets at Square Bean Carlisle (25 W High St, Carlisle, PA 17013) twice a month on Mondays from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on the following dates:
- September 9, 2019
- September 23, 2019
- October 14, 2019*
- October 28, 2019
- November 11, 2019*
- November 25, 2019
*Please note that these two dates may be subject to change depending on Square Bean’s holiday policy. YWCA Carlisle will provide sufficient notice of a date change.
Registration is open! To register your child in our no-cost book club, submit the completed registration form to YWCA Carlisle. We kindly ask that you submit the registration form prior to September 6, 2019. The Chronicles of Girlhood registration must be completed by the first session in order to participate in the fall 2019 session. Registration is capped at ten, and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
