About this program

Overview

YWCA Carlisle’s Girl Power! Reads is an initiative designed to connect girls in 8th through 12th grades with essays and stories about empowered women. Over the course of the spring, we will be reading and discussing What I told My Daughter by Nina Tassler.

Participants:

The program is offered to middle and high school aged girls in 7th through 10th grades attending any school within Cumberland County, and is provided at no cost for families.

Date + Time:

Girl Power! Reads meets at Square Bean Carlisle (25 W High St, Carlisle, PA 17013) twice a month on Mondays from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on the following dates:

  • February 10, 2020
  • February 24, 2020
  • March 9, 2020
  • March 23, 2020
  • April 6, 2020*
  • April 20, 2020*

*Please note that these dates may be subject to change depending on Square Bean’s policy. YWCA Carlisle will provide sufficient notice of a date change.

Registration:

Registration for the spring session of Girl Power! Reads is open. Please complete the registration form and return it to YWCA Carlisle by Friday, January 31, 2020.
